19: An insight into the Holiday Parks/Glamping sector
Holiday parks, holiday homes, park homes and glamping are an important part of the Caravan Industry. To get a deeper industry insight into this sector, I visited the Holiday Park and Resort Innovation show at the NEC (last week).
It’s a B2B show with over 500 exhibitors – ranging from cool glamping units and safari tents to dinosaurs (for entertainment) and robots to deliver table service or collect dirty dishes – and everything in between.
There was also an impressive number of talks passing on wisdom from professionals as well as owners of parks or other businesses in the sector.
I was delighted to see some people I knew and also make some new contacts. I recorded quick catch-up interviews with several of these people, including:
